The Secular Franciscan Order is a worldwide fraternity of Catholic laypeople who seek to bring the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi into the heart of the world. We are not monks or nuns — we are teachers, parents, workers, and neighbors, striving to see God in all creation.
Rooted in the Rule of the Secular Franciscan Order and inspired by the Gospels, we commit ourselves to ongoing conversion, fraternal life, and service to the poor and marginalized — in the ordinary moments of every day.

A Fraternity
Rooted in Place
Our fraternity was founded in the spirit of simplicity and fraternal love, gathering laypeople from across the Phoenix area who felt called to live more deeply in the Franciscan tradition. We meet monthly to pray together, study our Rule, and support one another on the journey of ongoing conversion.
We are a small community — intimate, welcoming, and unhurried. Whether you are a professed member, a candidate in formation, or simply curious about Franciscan life, you are welcome to walk with us.
